Hamptons is one of my favourite design styles, why? It’s relaxed, works in beautifully with our Australian lifestyle and allows everyone in the home to feel like they are on holiday every day. It also links back beautifully to our landscape. I was inspired when I came across Anita’s home as it related well to the home on the Bellarine Peninsula that we were working on and I thought perfect.

Lighting makes such a significant impact on the entrance to a home, it can make or break the space while creating mood. We will often specify rattan, bamboo and wicker to create texture, beading in lighting is also becoming a popular option and brushed nickel, glass and stainless steel to create a cleaner line for our Hamptons home clients.

It’s all about embracing a peaceful retreat from our crazy modern life and bringing this peacefulness into our homes with lighting.

Our interior Design project on the Bellarine Peninsula needed a feature pendant with impact and the pendant we sourced created this for our client. Large scale woven fibre pendants and lamps are such an amazing back drop especially in a Hampton’s home.
